Our next presentation is from  Lisey she did a presentation on a 3d model called a visible Man she talked about how and when it was discoverd what it does and how it works, how they scanned the body and how when you click on any part of the boy and it will show you what it looks like separted from the body 3d. Which is also helping med students getting cutting edge ten. Which is much cleanner then tools there using a mouse.

Today i n class we also had another presentation by Spencer and his topic was about User experience in web search. How they search engine and go about proving it for us, by using the right quotes, search words, keypoints, etc. I think he did a very fair presentation, and agree with what he was saying

Today in class  Stephen did a presentation about a guy name LawerenceLessig about his book “Remix”and his former collegue Barack Obama. He talks about how you can take a quote from a book and how you can do that from a youtube video because it will be copy right, he figures we should change that, but then he found problems. So they have to keep it copyright. They he just talks about the advance and disadvantage of using it. Lawerence also had a soultion of probalem solving he could have presented to congress but turrnd it down, i really liked his example, the reason was money and he said they need to fix that first. he said a alcholic who loses his family cant go and get them back unless he fixes his problem with alchol first. I thought  Stephen  did a good job, he answered all the question proffesor Rommel asked him and he did a good job doing it to.

Today in class Marisa Mazzo  did a presentation of geoff colvin and his book “Talent is Overrated”. How practice makes perfect and nobodys born with a skill they have to be intriduced to it, and anybody can become world class if they start at a young age. They also talked about how atlentic dont believe there talent was handed to them they worked for it, and another big point they make is that parenting has a big part of this. One excellent point i like is as a parent would you want to place your kid in a sport or activity they might not like or wait untill your child can make there own decision. This is a topic that should be on the news because alot of parents should either be recoreded or aware of what there doing to there kid. But i really liked her presentation she mad excellent points and i agree w/ what she had to say

CONT~ we also another presentation by Lisa and her presentaion was about Arianna Huffington. says she talks on blogs and believes that the only way obama was presented president was because of blogs because he was all over. She also tells us how blogs was only 10 rs old and how there are up to 10 million blogs which are emotions, daily roteens. Another thing i liked that she said was that blogs are alive you write and get a response. “The first though is the best though”..That is her quote on blog. I think this lady did have a point but i dont think blogging is the only way he is president today, yes it helped because of how he was know for the worlds hope and change, but alot of people know this and i do agree blogging helped.

Today in class jaqueline did a presentatioon on “Our world Digitized: The good, the bad. the ugly”. Now with her presentatioon where getting the point of view from 2 man that show the affect postive and negative on this topic, and one question i came across was, Is the internet helping polticis, and honestly i feel like it does, example now with obama is practical all over the web its helping his name come out and voters aware of what is going on with him and conversations he has. So with this presentation i though she did a good job also how she notice that will they where talking they didnt allow any of the audience as question i found that very intersting, but good job..

April 7.

Today in class we had a presentation from Lauren Rudzinski about one laptop per child, which talks about how this guy Nicholas Negroponte and how he feels every child should get there own laptops, she talked about how he traveled around the world to see how kids response to laptops and she also made the point how his goal is unrealistic. He also believes that children learn how to use the laptop quickly..but shes not sure thats nagent. She also mention how to make his plan come true which is either buy it or donate it for them. He wanted to make unespensive laptops for poor children under  $200. dollars, This started in a countrie that had no electricity, and gave them laptops and found out that he likes what he sees , you cant put dirt, water sand anything in it, you can draw on it and also use it ouside because of the sun screen. But the whole problem is Nicholas believes that kids can use this without teachers and we should give them this even if there not in school..” give a child a piano yeah he can make noise, but he wont be able to make music, and give a child a laptop they will be able to do the basic, but wont learn” this is what one of the guys had to say against Nicholas and honestly i totally agree, he has a good idea, but dont think his goal will be accomplished..idk…but overall  i though this was a good topic and defiantly something i could have been interduced to.

Today in class we had a guest speaker Elliott N edelnam and he taught use different types of websites and the effects of having a good one and a bad one.  Also how the goal on a website is dont make me think, also KISS- keep it simple/stupid.. Which i tollay agree because i think on a real website, the longest i would stay is a few seconds if it dosent work..lol, but i really enjoyed everything he had 2 say becaue not only did he make a point i could relate 2 everything he said.Oh another important piece of information was the Secure Browsers how we should take the time and instole this becaue of hackers, good point, and when i get an laptop will do..and i also liked the ad point about how we cost 50 cents to a dollar everytime we click on a ad.funny when he told us about him adn his competatives..lol..but good lesson.
